Following my vice chair position for the year of 2004, I took the task as chair of MADE in Edmonton in January of 2005. After a week of sleepless nights, I was finally able to start my work as the chairman of this energetic organization.

“The mission of this society is to heighten the public’s awareness and ability to appreciate design, art and architecture, and in turn increase their capacity to demand good art and design in their communities”.

The OTTO chair was recently featured in “Product Design” a hardcover book showing designers from around the world. an honor to be featured alongside designers such as: Ross Lovegrove, Ron Arad, Jasper Morrison, and The Campana Brothers. (photography: Shannon Loewen)

This year’s FROST winter design show + silent auction

IDEA showcased original small to medium scale furniture and accessories designed and produced with the intention to sell. Items included: custom skateboards, coat racks, furniture, mailboxes, and various small home accessories such as bottle openers, soap dishes, and IDEA’s new line of picture frames.
