IDEA – The Industrial Designers of Edmonton Association

In January of 2002, Greg Ball, Shoko César, Vivian Au, Geneva Tsang, James Compton, Tara Haase, Kirstin Smith, Goran Jokovjevic, Pachy Orellana, and Nami Wakabayashi began planning the Ideation show. In response to the success of this exhibit, and the desire to create an Industrial Design culture in Edmonton, Shoko Cesar and I wrote the constitution of what has now become “IDEA”- The Industrial Designers of Edmonton Association. I was elected the founding president of IDEA from 2002-2004 during which time we shared a common studio, and created the first FROST and THAW exhibits.
