As a child I was fortunate to grow up in an artistic environment that supported my (unstructured) creativity. In the 80’s I was a hardcore “BMX”er, and lived to drive my 1984 20th Anniversary Mustang. For the fun of it, we experimented alot, drove fast, and I often wonder how I’m still alive.

My father, Lorne Ball is a past Calgary TV and radio personality/ actor/ and musician who inspired me at a young age to become creative. Dad was the announcer of the Calgary Stampede rodeo for 25 years, and the well-known TV weatherman on CFAC in the 1970s. My mother Marnie Ball is a talented pen and ink artist/ illustrator who has taught me alot about drawing and art throughout my life as a student and professional. My brother Grant is a brilliant golfer, and finishing carpenter. He prototyped the doghaus project, and like me, is an avid flyfisherman. My sister Fiona is a talented musician and piano player with her own studio who lives on the Northwest coast of BC with some the World’s best Salmon fishing.
